Music

I'm pretty new to riding and i was wondering if anyone listens to music while they ride. Does it just matter on where your riding?

I like hearing what is around me. I can't imagine listening to tunes while riding.

YMMV

I was just a little unsure about coming around a blind corner and the only way you may know if someone is coming the other way is if you hear them. I'll give it a try.

I can't. I haven't found any ear buds that will fit comfortably in my ears and can't imagine riding with earphones covering my ears.

yeah i always rock music while im riding. Tried headphones but they always fall out and they also limit your ability to listen to whats going on around you. So now i just strap my phone to my backpack strap and put it on speaker and its just loud enough that i can hear it and rock out but not loud enough to bug other people or make it so i cant hear whats goin on around me.

Yea only when I'm alone, and only with 1 earbud on anything other than a no car ascent. I often turn off my music when I stop going up.

I only rock on long solo rides, endurance ride fire road kinda stuff. I don't like extra noise when I hit singletrack for some reason.

have you tried skull candy? they are pretty inexpensive and each pack comes with three sizes of the rubber part that goes in your ear.

Hate those... You can hear everything that touches the entire cord; the way they seal up your ear.
