Trek 7000

Hi,
I'm new to MTB and was wondering if anyone could look at the attached photo and tell me anything about the bike in the picture. I think it is five years old, but how much is it worth? And how do I know if its a real trek?

Bikes: Custom built STP 3, geared towards dirtjumping. And an aging Stinky deluxe with the works

I think that bike is a 2000 model year. As far as it really being a trek, I have seen that bike before, it's definitly a real trek. It would be almost impossible to fake that. It was worth about $700 new. Pesonally I would pay about $150-200 for it, but that depends on how much use it got and what condition it's in.

Ali K if it runs with no problem ,rims nice and straight you could get $100 easy for it..especially with Trek name on it and no visible scratches in picture,,could get extra few dollars from average bike rider for it on top of the $100 if you try sell it on street..but if you try selling in your local paper you can ask and get for it..good luck..

By the looks of it, it looks like a 2000/2001 model. From what I can see, looks like it has a Manitou SX? and other respectable components. I would pay around 300-350. Looks like it is in great condition.

Make sure it the right size. Looks like it is a 22inch? or around there.

Matching waterbottle cage gives it an added boost.

This bike is in all truth a nice bike for its time. When it was new, it was something like 1100 when my friend bought it. It is a 2000 I can tell you that. I have yet to see a large group of terks being sold as knock-off so I can asure you it is really a trek. It is worth about 300-350 given it has some nice components.

Are you in the market to buy or Sell?

Are all of your estimates in us dollars? Am looking to buy it off of someone in London, where it seems quite hard to buy good used bikes as used bikes in shops are overpriced. The bike is in perfect working order and does have a manitou sx - i'm not sure which one though, is this universally a good component?
