Got a set of IRC Mud Mad DH's for the snow and yes there are pics.

Hope those things work out. They look awesome.

That bike is HOT!

It's a good thing there's a fire extingusher over it, you may need it!

His bike is my ideal bike. Slightly heavy for XC, but it works none-the-less, and can still tear up the DH and freerides. Nice tires, and holy aggressive tread!

Don't know if the IRC's work, but they look very similat to my Panaracer Fire Mud Pro's. They work.

I might have to look into those when I get some winter tires... we don't get that much snow here, but our winter weather is really yucky in that we get lots of sleet, slush, and various other yucky stuff. We do get snow and it does tend to pack pretty hard. I'm sure a tire with closer tread would pack right up. Those look like they'd clear out pretty well.

can I have that fire ex.? those things are so fun to spray in the road it makes a blinding cloud...I like the new tires, any chance they have metal spikes in em?!

cryogenic 11-18-04 07:24 PM

no, those aren't studded tires... Nokian makes some pretty awesome studded tires..

hooligan 11-18-04 07:30 PM

Not very related but...

Kona24, when are you considering a new frame/ bike? What happened to your Giant?

Currently, how are you enjoying your stuff and what's the most extreme trick/wipeout/jump you've pu thte bike through?

trekkie820 11-18-04 10:33 PM

If he is selling the frame, he had better contact me first!!!

Dannihilator 11-18-04 10:45 PM

I'm not selling the frame, even when I get the new frame, the old one is going to become a singlespeed.

trekkie820 11-18-04 11:17 PM

The current one should be a singlespeed...Just an insight

hooligan 11-19-04 05:24 PM

Wait kona, you didn't answer my questions!

Just wondering

Dannihilator 11-19-04 05:46 PM

I haven't rode a giant in over a year, I am going to be building up a Cowan in a few months. I really like my stuff. For me, I threw a whip down on a road gap.

hooligan 11-20-04 10:42 AM

Do you plan on selling the Giant?

Heh, back to the dj frame, eh kona? Can't get enough of it... I just noticed it had an adjustable dropout and gyro rotor tabs. Can you actually replace the dropout if it breaks?

The giant has been disposed of for quite awhile now. Yes they can be replaced.
