Chain clanging noise on the downhill
Hi Folks
Does anyone have a solution for eliminating or reducing the chain clanging noise from the front derailleur when going downhill?
I have a protector on my rear chainstay, but that front derailleur + chain combo is LOUD!
Anyone have any ideas or tips?
PS. Don't say "don't go downhill" please.

Your FD cage isn't hitting the chainstay, is it? Reason I ask is because one of my recent builds was doing that, simple to fix but the cause wasn't obvious until I got off the bike and sort of rattled the derailleur cage by hand.

It's the clanging sound of a chain banging the bottom of the derailleur hanger, it seems.
