They spec fairly close but I ride the '05 Kona Kula and there is little I would change with it. It climbs like a rocket, is tight and fast. I like the Kula's Easton Ultralight frame, the Fox Vanilla fork, the RaceFace X-Drive crankset/bb, and the nice mix of Easton, WTB, Tioga, and Shimano in the other components.

I'm biased, of course, since I ride the Kula. One of my friends rides the GF and likes it a lot (although, I think I like my bike more than he likes his).

I've tried several Fisher's and I just don't like the Genesis Geometry. It just feels weird to me. So, my vote is for the Kona! Much cooler bike company too!
