Cannondale F400 - worth a try?

Have found this bike on CL for $325. Looking for light wheels for my wife for singletrails ..

This is a small frame. My son used to race. We have upgrades LX shifters,LX front derailier,XT rear derailier Race face cranks,bb and rings,Rolf rims.More than $1000 in this bike.It is very light and very fast.

The bike was raced on. XT and LX components probably the same age - about 7-8 y.o.
- I'm talking how much life would it have and assuming it has 1000's miles on it how much would be reasonable to pay?

What to look at? I used to buy form CL but usually I'm looking at the bikes with 10-50 miles on them..at least looking like this. This is something new for me.
Worth a try?

P.S. There is $1000 hidden somewhere in the bike.. :)

If there are many people who are preparing the long reply over the weekend - please, disregard.

Be careful, those $1000 in the bike might be pretty heavy.
