Seat Post Clamp
 

Wondering if there's any good/bad/ugly stories about seat post clamps? Putting together a bike with a nashbar frame and I need to pick up a clamp. Big price range on flea-bay, so what to buy? Gotta call the LBS tomorrow and see what they have too.

Salsa FTW. On my 2005hkek, I had my seatpost slip. Salsa QR solved it. I've carried that qr over several times.

make sure you get the right size. that is most important. seriously, people try to buy new seat post clamps all the time and don't realize they come in different sizes and it matters.

I measured the OD with calipers and it came to 31mm. What I find close to that on ebay is 31.8 Imagine that will work, and also that my cheapo calipers could be off a bit as well. Probably head the the LBS and see what if any offerings they have in stock.

Definitely go to the lbs I bought my Salsa at mine. They are a cheap enough accessory that shops can afford to carry them in several sizes.

DKG's clamp is pretty similar to Salsa's, and made in the USA.
