What are some good ways to increase your balance on the bike and off. I know practiceing always helps but is there any other things to do in addition. thanks

I like to stand on one leg (on the ground, not on the ball!!! ) and move my arms, free leg, and body around in different positions while maintaining my balance, too. |

That'll teach folks to race nicely. |
I've seen that... quite amusing that the dude manhandles him so easily.

On one of my favorite trails we have this big tree right on the inside of a tight, narrow turn that we call the Skin Tree because, if you have any speed and want to make the turn, you have a high chance of wacking it with your forearm. It gets a little bloody from time to time but I haven't actually seen any strips of skin hanging from it (yet). :D |
I practice balancing using an old skate deck and a full 2 liter bottle. Pull little shuvits, etc.
