Zoom forks...
anybody got a set and what are your thoughts?
I've got some Zoom 1000 inverted forks. |
Never heard of them. Not even on a radar I don't think
|
Never heard of them either. Maybe post a pic if you can?
|
They make Noleen forks look like a great fork.
|
Zooms are pretty low end forks..... Did u buy them or did they come stock on your Saracen?
The Zooms are pretty popular with Saracen and Shogun bikes over here in the UK, they look really big and beefy but arent that good for anything extreme, their really heavy too... |
Yeah they came with the bike and as you say they do look beefy, though that said I've had no problems with them as yet and they seem to be able to handle all I'm throwing at them.
|
Well, as long as your happy with them and they're standing upto the beat ing your giving them, what type of riding are you doing on them anyway?
|
Mainly XC riding with a little DH and Jumping thrown in.
|
My mate does the same thing on his bike, his fork lasted a year and its now starting to break....
|
Well thats ok then, because it'll take a year before I can afford a new set and there are other things I want to buy for it first.
|
uve seen these forks, my friend used to have them on his SUPER HUFFY :D , not to offend huffy riders, but this thing was 4 years old and weighed as much as i do soaking wet.. anyways the forks were good for the price, and never failed, they were just really, loose and bottomed out alot.
but for the price, not bad |
sorry, IVE seen these forks, not UVE**
|
Does using DH forks For DJ make them break sooner?
Because I can't afford new forks |

Holy thread resurrection batman!
mx 599 - Noleen made forks that came on most of the K2 bikes around the year 2000 or so. They make a great cross country fork 50% of the time. The reason I say this is that people either get a great fork from them or a complete lemon. A lot of weight weenies are still searching for these forks. |
are they made by mazda?

Hello!

You're an "Xtreme Downhill Biker", I'm sure if your fork can take the abuse you must put it through doing the huge drops, gaps and rock gardens then it should be able to handle a few jumps.

My old bike had Zoom forks. They were absolutely horrible to ride, and heavy as.
|
heavy as what
|
I dunno, but it made the bike feel like all its weight was right up the front.
