Pedals / shoe/ cleat question
Silly noob question. Forgive me.
I want to get MTB shoes, pedals. Spd clip I guess you would call them. Question: Do the shoes come with cleats? The pedals and shoes are shimano 2 bolt and I and not sure if you have to purchase cleats as well or if they come with the shoes. Thanks. |
actually - you will probably end up with 2 sets. A set usually comes with the shoes and the last pair of pedals I bought came with a pair as well...
|
ok cool. thanks

You got cleats with your shoes?? What manufacturer's cleats did they give you? I've only ever gotten them with pedals. But they should come with your pedals, unless you pick up the pedals used.
|
Performance Bike shoes came with cleats. Specialized shoes did not. I guess it depends. I think pedals should almost always come with cleats.
|
No, I haven't purchased them yet. Getting them from Nashbar, I think.

As z11 stated, cleats come with pedals, not with shoes. How would the shoe manufacturer be expected to know what type of pedals you're using?
|
Well I said it was a silly question.

People often complain about the lack of use of the magical 'Search' feature. Perhaps we should temporarily direct our attention to the wonders of the 'Quote' feature.:p

Why would you want shoes that attach to your pedals? Clipless are for hacks.
