Is this a Cannondale F500?
 

The frame was sold to me as an F500, but I can't find any markings on it besides "CAD2". I think the model number got rubbed off. Any info would be greatly appreciated. (The components are not original, I put on almost everything myself)

This would be a M series mountain bike frame as the F series bikes came with the Cannondale headshock, were the Suspension was built into the fork with a over sized headtube.

It is indeed an F500 Cannondale, from the 1996 model year, converted to take a Rock Shox Quadra fork. Try finding a period-correct Cannondale MC50 Headshok fork and that bike will be absolutely BOSS. Also drop a pound off weight too.

I agree. I have an F600 from (probably) a few years later as it has discs and the original Headshok. l enjoy it as my jack-of-all-trades ride; it's light enough to be tolerable for urban riding, climbs well, and does fine for moderately technical cross country work.

That's a hell of a dent u got there, is that frame bent aswell or is it just the angle

I have a lime green headshock at my coop just sitting there. Pretty much no way we'll ever do anything with it (any frame we'll get will most likely have one already). It's yours if you pay shipping. Don't know anything about its condition though.
