Don't you make fun of little girls punching little boys! It's our one way to get even! If a man sleeps around, he's a playa. If a woman sleeps around, she gets called all sorts of mean names that aren't fit for posting on this board. Not fair. So our way to get back is punching. A girl punches her boyfriend, he laughs and it's cute. A boy punches his girlfriend, she covers it with makeup and the cops get called. (Note: I am not condoning women actually physically abusing men, which obviously is not okay)

Hasn't happened to me yet, but I haven't been riding that long compared to some of you. I expect it sooner or later though .

I have concluded that there are very few "serious" roadies around here where I live. I have been on the road forum a couple of times and according to most of those peoples average times, I am super slow (or at least the speed I think I am doing is slow, I don't have a computer on any of my bikes). Yet I can count the number of times I have been passes on the local MUP on one hand over the past 1000ish miles that I did this past summer. I see so many people around here that ride really expensive road bikes with spandex that cruise at around <15mph in large groups and they take up the whole lane and don't seem to want to get over when you want to pass. BTW, when I road ride I either ride a 20 year old steel Raleigh SS, or a Trek 7100 Hybrid.

To the OP, all the MTB trails I ride are single track that are only around 6" wide and the only way to really pass is if the person in front of you stops and gets off the trail, which often isn't even possible due to trees, so if you end up being behind someone slow (or are the slow person), you just have to suck it up and deal with it.

Wild, this week I get saved by a chick and her two dogs. I was looking for a shortcut and cut through a neighborhood. Two medium sized mutts start chasing me. Then out of no where a Chick on a Stumpjumper turns the corner with two Australian shepherds. The shepherds charge straight past me and tear into the mutts. She had just come back from Bootleg Canyon on the shortcut I was looking for. Double save!
