Dirt Jumper for under $600?

Anybody know of a dj bike that I could pick up new for around 6 hundo? Or would i just be better off building one? Really have no idea when it comes to these type of bikes. Thx

That'll be quite a challenge building a DJ for under $600. Might be possible, but expect to be watching eBay and Craigslist like crazy. Complete will probably be easier to pull off. Keep an eye out for a DMR Drone or NS Holy. Super fun bike for the cash. They're both 24", SS, and rigid. If you'd rather a 26" that comes with front suspension, look for a closeout Kona Stuff/Shred/whatever their budget DJ is, GT Chucker, KHS DJ/SJ, or Jamis Kromo.

^^ Per Zeph. Piecing one together via eBay finds may be your best bet. Start with a frame from Chain Reaction. They have some dirt-cheap Fire Eye frames if you can manage to find one in a size that fits you.

Just get a 20" SS rigid BMX bike. Those things can handle literally anything you throw at them (so long as your body and skill can handle it). And are literally build for dirt jumping. I use to love riding my BMX bike and use to use it for everything, and they are usually fairly cheap (even for a good NEW one). Anybody else have any thoughts on using a BMXers for a MTB/DJ bike? I had lots of luck with it when I was younger, but I might be a minority and a weirdo .

Not under 600 - but not a bad deal
