Bontrager Spoke popped

Yeah, as the title states, i popped a spoke on my bontrager (racelites?) the other day. I think i had them tensioned too much cause I definately wasn't doing anything big. Anyway, they are a really short spoke because where i popped it (rear wheel, non-drive side), the spokes don't cross. I went to my lbs and they didn't have any short enough for me there. I think the spoke was made by United Wire Works Ltd. I did some searches and couldn't find anything online. Anyone have any suggestions on what i can do for replacements? Anything specific I should be looking for?

If I recall, the Bontrager racelites take a 261mm spoke in the rear, but don't quote me on that. The spoke length is on the decal on the rim. You can replace it with a standard 14g DT stainless steel spoke or any equivalent 14g spoke. Make sure you get a nipple that is compatible with the rim. I'm not sure what length that would be.

and do yourself a favor, when you get a wheel go to a bikeshop or somewhere where they have a tensiometer and ask them to check spoke tension. Good spoke tension means one hell of a lot less broken spokes, if any.

Find a shop with a spoke cutter perhaps... all our spokes start life as 395mm, and we just cut them down to fit.
