mini rant that has nothing to do with actual bikes
it seems there are a lot of threads that go "i only have $x but i want a bike that costs $x+100" or something along those lines.
does it not occur to anyone to perhaps save up the money to get what you want?
what is with the immediate gratification/feeling of entitlement these days?
what am i missing about these situations?

Plus, everyone's hoping for a deal. Then, in my case, I like to plan ahead for something I might buy 6 months down the road when I have more money. But mainly, I'm going with Ed's answer.

I love the threads that will inevitably end in someone buying a bike online that they either won't be able to to assemble, won't fit, or is not what would suit them. All of this because it's X% cheaper than just going to an LBS. What they don't realize is that X% is paid back in free advice, free repairs, and greatly increased warranty protection.
