Slayer!!!!
ok, i'm posting this here (as opposed to the show us your bike thread) because i'm stupid and drunk.
i got a new bike! (sort of). i got a rocky mountain slayer, which, to me, is the greatest bike in the universe. 33 pounds and 6+ inches of traveling deliciousness. i bought a whole bike, i got a slayer 50, even though i only needed a frame, i'll use the other parts for replacement or to build up my remedy frame or whaterver. so my bike says "slayer 50" even though it's not really. the only downside is the bike is white, and i don't like white bikes, but i'll sticker the crap out of it, so there is that.
i'm so happy because the bike has been here, but my rear wheel didn't fit cause of the axle, so i had to order a new rear wheel. this worked out cause i got an x-9 hub, which is slightly lighter than the xt hub i had (which doesn't matter at all really).
took it out for it's maiden ride, and holy crapsnacks, it was like sex. the bike climbed up a hill almost effortlessly, i definately climbed better on it. it came down a hill like an avalanche. even at 33 pounds i could move that bike and put it where i wanted it, it was just soo much fun. i had wanted this bike since i first tried it a year ago, i was afraid it wouldn't feel as good as i remembered, but it felt better.
here are some pics. sorry, i'm not good at taking bike porn photos. The parts are all my parts from my old bikes, going back to the turner 5 spot.

Here I thought you were starting a music thread.
That is one wicked looking bike. Good pics. You need to post an action video.

Sexy!
When I read the first paragraph, I thought to myself "Ohhh no...he got drunk & bought himself an expensive new toy...he'll regret that next time he goes grocery shopping & his card gets declined!"
Glad to know you're enjoying it though, one of the greatest feelings is when an expensive purchase not only meets, but exceeds your expectations.
