I can imagine that hurting too... although, the scars you get when you get stabbed in the back of the leg with your chainring is pretty cool, really deep, and looks like machine gun fire just shot down your leg... Crazy

Did the chainring get him...I just saw him contact the tires?

If the rings got him he gets a 9.5/10, due to the added coolness of explaining weird scars to women during possible intimate moments

Play it in slow-mo.
Almost looks like he could have punctured a nad or two.

my rating scale is based on contact/pressure of impact on the rider. It's a demented scale me and my HS buds made to rate our mtn bike crashes (we treated our mtbs like BMXs, so crashes were often pretty fugly).

Our favorite jump was in the middle of the woods...and we all know how those end...

My worst was faceplanting on a rock, a few seconds later, on my forearms (my fingers hurt like hell) and knees asking where the eff my bike was, then it finally landed, handlebar end right between my shoulderblades....knocking me right back into that rock, face first

Apparently the bike got tangled in some branches during the initial flight...

That was the creation of the SJJD (Steve, Josh, Josh, Duane, our first names) scale for crashes. That one got a 10 since I managed to render all my fingers unusable for a week, my face was pretty scraped up, and i had to wear a back brace for a while.

Based on that scale, that guy had a pretty good chance of being in some nice hurt....back drop on an upside down bike can do all kinds of pretty things....add in lower back/tenders being punctured by chainrings and you have a rather nice amount of potential pain...therefore the high score

I think it was pretty funny because it looked like he was laughing when he got up. Those are the best type of crashes, the ones when the crash looks bad and you get up laughing and saying let's try that again.

I'd go with the latter of the three to be honest. Luckily he didn't appear to be permanently damaged.

it looked like he didn't feel anything, for a few seconds. but if the clip went for a few more seconds, then he'll be screaming in pain. i give it 7/10.
