Recommendation please
Ok so I have been trying to save up for like a 6 months to get a new bike, ever since my k2 met with a car... any way i cant seem to get more than $400 saved up(school blows) and im tired of not having a bike. I shopped around town and found two bikes that I thought might be ok.
A 04 Hardrock Sport Disc for $399
2004 KHS alite 500 w/ disk brakes for $325.
I like the way khs feels but never heard anything about their reputation.
thanks

If you are going to be riding trails, I would suggest trying to find something used given your price range.

Depends what sort of trails your doing... the Hardrock sport is an excellent bike for the money... (i have one) and im 175lbs and its stood up well to everything i have thrown at it... you wont find a much better bike than the hardrock for your money...

Please see the sticky 500$ MTB thread for opinions on bikes in this price range, and ask possible further questions there. I am closing this thread.
