Man I'm having a hard time understanding why the Dealer you bought this escape 8.1 from decided to change alot of the components from the factory s/u....

https://www.harobikes.com/2004/escape81/

I've been looking for 15 mins. for more info on replacement pads for the QMD brakes. No luck. Heck, I can get replacement pads for my Hayes HFX-9's down at the Winn-Dixie.... You may have a problem finding those. If you "do" find any, they'll bring top $$$ I'll bet.

From what i was told from the dealer, in since it is the 2004 escape, haro is getting rid of them and has some of them in the "back lot." So they put different componets on the bike, which for me they seem to be better. Even if the pads go, couldnt i just purchase like Hayes or Avids and just put them on the disc?

Any shop should have them. A few companies make aftermarket parts for them too
