2012 Duffield Derby downhill race (photos)

This was my first time being at a race. I think they turned out well for being my first time taking photos of any mountain biking.
It was at Fort Duffield Park in West Point, KY.

grew up down the street from there killer trails for XC riding as well as downhill.

It looked like fun, but this was my first time to these trails and I had just got clipless pedals the day before so I didn't ride there.
I think it's the only place around here with an actual downhill trail. I want to get some use out of the elbow pads, knee pads, and full face helmet I bought last year and have yet to use on any trail. (I bought them before I started actually riding trails and overestimated the protection I'd want/need, though the ff helmet is nice when it's cold.)
