What Type of Seat Post Do I Need For Me?

I recently picked up a Schwinn Mesa GS 26" at an auction, but I am 6'5 and the seat is way too low for me. I had someone stop by the local Schwinn dealer for me , but it seemed that what he was looking at for $26 was only going to give me an additional 2 inches. On Amazon.com i was looking at these 2 items, but not sure which 1 would work. My seat stem is approx 15/16 x 8 inches.

I love this new bike and have already planned rides throughout the summer near Morris, IL
Please help. Thanx

I'm not a big fan of seatpost "extension". Maybe one of the mechanics here has seen them used with success, but I wouldn't try it.
You said you sent someone to the LBS, why not go to a couple yourself and tell them the problem. I say this because my local LBS has some pretty long seatposts or they can order one that is very long.
Yes you could buy one that sets you back , but if arm length is something you're trying to address, I'd go with a stem change.

Got pics of the bike? Something isn't adding up here. Is the frame 26" or are the wheels 26"?

First: That isn't an extension in the first link, it's a shim and it should be labled 27.2 to 25.4, not 25.4 to 27.2. I have a shim on my dirt jumper because finding a 26.8 pivotal post in the US is near impossible, where 25.4 is plenty, so a 26.8-25.4 shim is on there. Seat post it's perfectly fine, steerer to stem is fine. Though it's ok, the shims to run a 25.4 in a 26.0 road drop just does not sit right with me.

Second link, I'm going to be completely honest, no intention of being mean. If you need a set post with that much setback, you might need a fitting, where you will find that the frame is possibly too small for you.
