Derailleur problems
 

Hey all,

So because of not paying attention, I messed up the derailleur (front) on my mountain bike. Its a standard one that claps on the frame. So its not broke or bent but I had to reinstall it however, no matter what I do, it seems to be wrong as when I switch the gears, it sometimes rubs the chain against the derailleur.

I could take it to a LBS and get it fixed BUT I would rather do it on my own so I learn some things about fixing my bikes myself! :) I am new to fixing bikes so I need all the help I can get!

Any suggestions of troubleshooting my derailleur issues?
