What are you actually asking for, the Bikepedia link has the specs of the bike http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...e#.UCDHBfZlQf5 if you want to know the name of original owner of the bike, that may be a little hard for anyone to give you.

it doesn't sound like my bike and there's no picture. My AX has rock shock forks and threaded headset. I realize the fact that someone might of added those parts but why change from a treadless to a threaded headset? I'm not stupid, I'm not trying to find the original owner. wanted info on this bike so I could make a educated decision on which bike to keep, the newer AX or my early nineties rockhopper sport. already made my choice. Kept the older bike, I just like it better, what do you all think? Good choice, bad, why? To the idiot who tried to make me look stupid, go screw yourself *******. Anybody else who has positive info or feedback, thanks in advance.

I don't think he was trying to make you look like an idiot. He posted the link to the specs of the bike you have. Since they only seem to have made it for one year, it's your bike. And it's a mountain bike; the guy decided he wanted a suspension fork, so he had a threaded one and put it on. That doesn't make it not your bike. I know my bike is nothing like what it was stock, but it's still a Voodoo Dambala. Loosen up a bit, it's the mountain biking forum.

Wasn't trying to make you look like an idiot, just that there is only a limited amount of info avaliable for old MTB's, and unless you know all the owners of a bike, you will never know the full history of a bike of a specific bike, which is what you were asking.

You asked for all and any info on this bike, and your need to know the orginal owners for that.

Don't understand why you can't see that the Bikepedia link matches you bike even without a photo, yours is red, Bikepedia lists the AX as coming in red and yellow versions, therefore the red version matches yours.

Sounded sarcastic to me. A picture is worth a thousand words. One of the only things I do know is decals help narrow down the year, which is why I wanted to see a picture. Found little to no info on the bike so was looking for advice and info. Thought someone might have worked at a bike shop back in the day and knew something about my bikes. Thought that might be my bike on bikepedia but wasn't sure. Bikepedia only goes back to 94 I think, I wasn't sure if my bike was older than that. I understand there is little to no info on older mtb's still not sure what year my rockhopper sport is but it only matters to me. just curious. I like to know as much as I can about what I'm dealing with at all times. Was just looking for info and advice.

You need to do some fact checking, Bikepedia goes back further than 1994, see here for an example http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...esta&Type=bike.

All the information you have given indicates that you have a 1997 bike, so if Bikepedia goes back past this, it is irrelevant for your question, You asked a question, and it was answered in the relevant to the way you asked, no sarcasm involved, just a badly asked question in the first place.

You have confused the matter futher be saying you have a Hardrock AX, and then a Rockhopper Sport, you need to ID what bike you actually have when asking for help.

Also being realistic if you have a bike that has been used and is 15 years old, the chances are that many parts have been replaced due to wear / damage / user choice, so unless you are looking to take it back to stock, the original spec isn't that important.

Oh wow! One year off! Come off your high horse you condescending ass! I clearly said "i think". The point I was trying to make is the info is limited. I was asking about 2 different bike. Your a dick. go to hell
