new changes

hi... i recently buy a larger seast post for my bike cause the old one that i use to have was to short for me, but here's the point, i feel a lot diferent in the bike, the frame size is 19" i think and im 6'3" but i dont have any money yet to change the frame. i feel like the pedals (plattaform) throw me away.... also i bought new shoes, (some new balance with a nice all terrain sole) and i think that the post pedals or whatever changed my geometry or position in the bike, my legs feel nice but my hands are weird, dont hurt but weird and i want to know if i have to change the stem or something or just som information on what happens when you go ub about an inch and a half up in the seat post

well obviously if you raised your seat you're now leaning at a different angle....another stem or spacers might be necessary

sorry... what spacers,,,, kind of dumb question...

haha I'm a newbie too...so let me try to explain it...there are spacers that go on your fork that basically raise up where your handblebars sit...

inch and a half up on the seatpost? That will alter your pedalling/backside position tremendously. It shows that the previous stem was too short, and yes the bike is going to feel wierd. CofG is now higher, and I wouldn't mind betting that you are further away from the bars aswell.

I'd give it a try for a few rides to see how you are getting on with the "new" feel to the bike. If it still feels awkward, then stem spacers may help a bit but you may need a higher rise stem if there's no room for them.

My friend just picked up an easton stem and it's like stupidly huge....I'm sure he'll post pix of it later in here.
