A starting point
Hi everyone,
First of all, I would like to say I'm a total noob. My vocabulary of bikes is little to nothing. That being said, I would like to start mountain biking. I currently have this:

A diamondback outlook trail xc from probably around 09 give or take a year. I'm guessing its not that great since I got it from a sporting goods store and not a bike shop, although I have no idea. Is this good enough to ride on some beginner trails? What else do I need besides a helmet and a bike to go mtbing? I'm 17 working a part time job so I don't have loads of money to spend either. Any help is appreciated.

Still kicking.
Beginner stuff, it will do just fine. You just need a helmet, a couple of spare tubes frame pump/tire levers, someway to keep hydrated, gloves.
