Wider Tires
When buying wider tires, do you also have to buy wider rims to accept the tires? I am trying to go from 26x1.95 to al least 26x2.10. If possible I want to get 2.35. Would I need wider rims for any of these?

You dont need new rims but the tires might not clear your frame and fork.

not all the time. go for whatever size you want, so long as it fits your frame. one thing is ot inflate things up to the max when installing, let it sit a bit, then deflate down to your wanted pressure. this can really help seat the bead on the rim much better than normal.
i run 2.5 tires of various brands as my regular tires, on mavic 717 disc rims with no problems. and on plenty of other narrow rims before those. up to 2.7 DH tires on the same rims much of the time; no problems with those, either.
never had a problem getting tires on/off, and i've never rolled a tire off a rim. even running them as low as 20psi sometimes.
