Canfield Brothers Crampon flat Pedals?

I've been seriously thinking of trying flat pedals for a while and think I will definitely enjoy riding on them. I have considered the Canfield thin pedal design as I think that it makes a lot of sense and everything I've read really has me sold.

So, any personal experience here? I think I remember gastro getting a pair.

Also, anyone know where to find them online other than the Canfield site? The shipping to Canada from the Canfield Brothers site is $35! I tried finding a Canadian online dealer or even a normal online dealer but can't find anything. I won't even bother with my LBS as I am pretty sure the Canadian markup will be stupid and exceed the $35 shipping.

I drooled over those things for a while. Crypt has a couple pairs, I think. He sings their praises. They are serious porn. Great option as pinned platforms.

Thanks for the offer, Doug, both for the real one and the smart ass one!

I actually had reached out to Canfield and got a great response from Sean over there. He'll be making a shipment using USPS at a very reasonable shipping cost. I sent payment and am anxiously waiting for my new pedals.

Thanks again to Canfield for really stepping up and offering great customer service.

Glad that worked out. CS is something CBros is really known for. I was kinda hoping they'd do something like that for you. Almost called myself on your behalf . . . didn't need to.

Now you and gastro ride the crap out of them and report back. I really want some excuse to justify buying some - - I'm afraid all my Syncros pedals are too tough to die.

I promise you I'll report back with full reports and pictures. I'm really looking forward to seeing how well the blue colour stands up to the abuse of leaning the bike against the Starbucks wall. I also want to see how well it stands up to coffee spillage. I do warn anyone that doesn't like to see equipment abuse to NOT follow along as I'm really rough with my stuff.

As far as that gastro ***** goes, I hear the lift operators at the hills he goes to use velvet gloves so I doubt you'll see anything really going on over there.

Then we will require video. Especially on the coffee spills!

I'm pretty sure gastro is more concerned with what premix to run in his new 300 than what color your new pedals are.

Go back from whence you came from, newb!

I sure do miss gastro and his slingblade. Anyone have a pic from the archives they can pull out?

PS - congrats to dminor for living in a real mountain biking state.

I think that officially makes us some sub-province of BC. Either that or we've been annexed by Portland, OR.
