Probably canted steerer. Basically the crown and steerer meet at an angle. I'll try to get a good pic of mine, but it's hard to really see it without putting a straightedge up to it and I don't have an assistant to help...

BTW, they're probably not officially called canted steerer fork, but that's the way I think of 'em cuz when the fork's on the bench it looks like the steerer's pointing up.

I want to say typo but it was absent mindedness. I didnt mean every bike, just evrry bike that ive seen or had kept the castor or rake with a curved fork, wheel in front of blades or an angled head stem. I feel dumb because im lookinh at a fork off a FS Next i just put on an old huffy which has the wheel mount under the fork not in front of it. Sorry guys.

Straight bladed forks are offset at the crown to provide correct rake on a given frame.

Colnago pioneered this in road bicycles and with the wide adoption of front suspensions, the replacement rigid forks for these mtbs are also straight bladed with an offset at the crown.

One of my favorite bikes to ride up in the foothills! Single speed; rigid carbon fork; mechanical BB7 brakes.

Zen in motion.........
