Rear Cassette Issue

So as you can see from the pics I think I'm screwed. I was given this bike in disrepair and decided to convert it to single speed. Anyways I can't remove the rear cassette because the puller has nothing to grab. What are my options? Even if I remove the cassette I'm still missing parts that I don't know how to replace.

This is a Raleigh Mojave 2.0, ill only be using it for easy trails.
