Hydraulic Diskbrakes - New ?Wheels?!
I just asked my friend, say if I wanted to put on a hyrdaulic disk brake onto (soon to be my) Specialized Hardrock Sport, how much would it cost, and he said that first of all I'd have to change the wheels because they doesn't have disk mounts (that's what they're called right?) and he said they're 50 euros each. That was a shock, I thought that disk mounts (if that's the correct term) can just be added on to the wheels... hmm.
So is it true that if I wanna go with disc brakes then I'll need to change the wheels?

Unfortunatley yeah you will unless you have disc hubs with the mounts. They look like a star shaped thing with 6 holes in it on the left hand side. If you want to keep your rims maybe you could only change the hubs, might be cheaper. Also check if you have mounts on the frame and fork.

Thats why I got the Hardrock Pro It comes with crappy discs so its easy to upgrade. Its a PITA to upgrade to discs if it isnt disc ready so just buy something with discs from the start.

Problem solved under $100 https://www.pricepoint.com/detail/120...-Lite-Rims.htm
I realize you're in Spain but this was to give you an idea of what to look for. The wheelset I linked to is cheap and durable and plenty good enough for a first disc brake set up. For $20 more you could have the set that I have https://www.pricepoint.com/detail/120...-Lite-Rims.htm
which is a nice wheelset while remaining inexpensive.

Even though I have Hayes HFX-9's (hydraulic), I'd consider the Avid mechanical's for a cost savings to help fund the new wheelset. They have wonderful reviews, and I'm planning to buy them in a few months when my Hayes are worn-out....

20 bucks, DT swiss. I used it for about 1k miles and its very nice. A steal

First of all, thanks to all who posted!
Wait, so there's an option to be able to get the hubs WITHOUT changing the rims? Well, for now that sounds like the way to go.
As for getting the PRO instead of the SPORT, I'm sorry but I just can't dish up those extra 175 euros.
