centerlock rotors - any disdvantages?

My wife's new bike has centerlock wheels, and this is my first experience with them. I'll be honest: I got the wheels ridiculously cheap and I figured I could live with centerlock.

Live with them?! Hah, I love them so far. Much faster and easier to install rotors (not that 6 bolt are hard), same tool as a shimano/sram cassette lockring... hell, even the same torque, 40 nm.

So, am I missing something? Is there some reason this isn't wildly popular? AFAIK Trek is one of the only big companies that have ever used centerlock in any volume on new bikes. Maybe there's a hub cost / availability issue.

Yes, Lockring are inferior because I own six bolt. Only after I purchase lockring can it be considered superior.

Actually, that's not far from the truth. The perception is Shimano introduced lockring so that owners of those disc sets would be forced to stay with their product or make a complete and expensive change. The only folks I've seen complain about lockring don't own them. I'm not aware that anyone who has had lockring found them to be inferior or superior to six bolt. I've not seen any concrete evidence that one is better than the other.
