I cant seem to find enough users to comment about this bike. Amazon has a handful of them but they are not really from mountain bikers.

Of the 83 people who have viewed this thread, no, it is a safe bet no one has this bike.

I would suggest you get the next model up as it has a vastly improved fork and shock. This bike is a step above a wal-mart full suspension bike, but it's not ready for serious trail use.

is it good as a base bike for the frame? So even if with the better fork and shock it still isn't good for serious trails?

thanks for the reply!

I'm sure it is a very basic frame with a very basic rear suspension linkage. If you're concerned about that kind of stuff, the cheapest full suspension bike with a good frame is a Giant TranceX 3 with retails for $1550. You can also get a used bike instead, there are many on the market although you can't test-ride bikes on ebay.

I just saw a 2013 diamondback recoil in the trails today. I talked with the owner and he let me ride his bike. He was very happy with his bike. He just got it and it was his first time riding it. He has been riding for quite a while tho so he isn't exactly a newbie.

I rode it. The rear shock was locked out. There was clunking in the back. Geometry was good too. It is a solid bike in my opinion. Over all I think my Trek Marlin rides better. So glad I made my choice. I think I am not ready for a full suspension bike. But if I were to choose a frame for a single pivot full suspension, I would get this over those at bikes direct.
