what would you do with this merida frame?
 

I have option for this bike and i'm digging this frame for some reason.
Could buy it for $100.
I'd be interested in your thoughts about the deal but what I'm really interested in is, if you had all kinds of endless resources, what would you do with the bike/frame?

I'd ride it.
But if I did indeed have endless $$ I would never ever look at that bike or call it a bike...I'd by a new Titanium MT bike with the coolest stuff made.

hammerdog is right -- with unlimited resources, this doesn't land on the radar. With my back issues, it doesn't either, so I can't advise you. I just caught the hook on the 'endless $$', the fantasy of which has produced a LIST in my mind of bikes that I would build up from bare frames and ride until they (or *I*) broke.

i would pass on that bike
and get something nicer to start with

judging by the components
that was a 500 dollar bike when new

better than a department store bike
but not worth putting any money into

if it is not in perfectly ridable condition for 100 bucks
then pass and find something better

Looks like a good bike to pull my kids trailer :p
