Dang, I'm drooling. My daughter in ALBQ said it was borderline hot. Perfect time of year.

You really can't beat the temps - mid 60's all week. What is really killing me is the time change - I hate getting off work in the dark... Time to start riding during lunch!

If I had to ride through sand washes, scragly junipers, pinon pines and sagebrush I think I'd get a dirt bike or move.

^^ Haha . . . actually, I do sometime. Like maybe some January when there's a couple feet of snow up here. Let someone else plow our road for a week.

Those trails are soft when you land. I got addicted to riding them, nice cushy sand. Out here the rocks and hard and unforgiving! The cactus want to hop on board and ride along!

Cholla are the devil...especially to my noobness. I fell into one the last time I was out. Spent a good 20 minute picking them out of my arm, my leg, my back, my stomach, etc

Now that looks like fun!! I crashed a few weeks back and almost landed into a big friggin Yucca plant - being impaled by one of those would be a difinitive ride to the ER.

Hey Ed, that picture is actually a trail around Carefree, more your neck of the woods. The ole "Jumping Cactii are vicious. They see me coming and fling themselves in my path!

Nice! I have only done a handful of trails. Sonoran Trail is about as far North East as I've went so far. Working my way over to Carefree. Great riding over that way from what I've heard. Right now I'm looking for non-technical, easy ups and downs. I'm a wuss.

Black Canyon system looks awesome. A great variety of options for in and out.

https://mtbikeaz.com/trail-index/phoe...-trail-system/

I have it on my wish list for this winter when it gets really cold here in Vegas!

I was watching the Little Pan video, made my hands cramp. Looks like a great system.

It is supposed to be a nasty weekend, lots of wind and rain with a possibility of snow mix. Can I move to Vegas and ride??

Everyone needs a Vegas Vacation! We are supposed to get wind to 25 this weekend. I'm still hoping to get about 3 hours in by noon Saturday!

Hey, you 4 corner shredders are tough, get the Carhartt's out and blast that snow!

My knees are jacked and I can't ride for awhile. However, I did get new pedals and shoes today, which I put on promptly when I got home and rode up and down the street.

Gah, I can't wait to play with all my new toys. Injuries suck.

Thanks! Saw the doc yesterday, knees are just inflamed. I just need to take it easy for a couple of weeks and then I'll be back in action.

Check! That hill pictured has a friggin gnarly drop on the other side that I have not had the balls to try yet. It is a small spur that drops back into the trail on the other side of the downhill, probably only adds an extra 100m to it.

That is the desert calling you Joyota! You are welcome here anytime!

We have a nasty storm approaching, they are talking rain and snow over the next 4 days here. Looks like I won't be riding for a while...
