used haro escape 8.3

Seller wants $400 for this and this is the description he's listed it with

"HARO Escape 8.3 DH/MTB for sale. 15.5" frame, 26" alu wheels,Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, Shimano Deore XT, Rock Shoxx Psylo telescope 80-115mm, Titec handle and seat. Good working order"

I don't know if I'd be using the bike at all I just think maybe I could make profit on it. Have done a quick search on frame and fork and all the reviews are from 2004-2006. Just how worn out this can be? I'm a noob but I like the price asked for a test ride because im interested how it feels regardless of buying it.

Not a downhill bike, despite what the description might say. Frame looks pretty burly though...maybe an all-mountain hardtail? Definitely check for signs of abuse before buying. It's an older bike though, so I'm not sure whether or not it's worth the asking price.

It's an all-mountain hardtail. 26" hard tails don't sell these days, $400 might even be a little high. It's 10 years old. I had one, I loved it and I'd buy one again, possibly, but for all mountain I'm leaning 27.5" these days.
