SIDI DOM MTB Shoes

Since I am going to try this MT Bike thing, I thought a proper pair of shoes for this type of riding. Any input on these type of shoes from SIDI..?

you could do a lot worse - nice shoes and something you won't have to upgrade after you get into mtb'ing more

I have the Sidi Bullet (one step down, with three elastic straps). Great shoe, very comfortable, and built to last. I don't wear it all that much anymore, as I currently have platforms on all my bikes, but next time I switch my pedals around, I'm sure I'll return to it.

You might consider what Zeph is doing. Some of us prefer pinned platforms to clipping in. I like a nice pair of sticky shoes and pins.

If you plan on doing any hike-a-bike sections, be careful on rocks. The SIDI soles aren't terribly grippy.

I'm not a huge fan of clipping in for mountain biking either, but I can say that I've owned a set of Sidi Dominators as my main road-biking show for nearly ten years and many thousands of miles and they're still going strong. Very durable, well-made shoe.
