V-Brake Pads?
I'm building up my first mountain bike and I purchased a nearly new set of V-brakes on E-Bay. The calipers themselves are identical, but one pair has a wider pad than the other. Does the wide pad go on the front or rear wheel?

If I understand what you're saying(I've been out of the loop on new parts for awhile), I would put the wider/thicker pad set up front since they tend to wear more quickly. If I didn't understand what you're trying to say, disregard.

It's a used set of brakes. They replaced the pads. 'nuff said. It really doesn't make a bit of difference

Ah, missed the "nearly new" part.

I was able to determine from the angle of the shoes that the wider pads had indeed been on the front wheel. Thanks. |
Does it say or can you tell what brand/model pads those are? Never heard of that before. Kinda makes sense, tho.

Not new.
Replacement cartridge pads are nice for v-brakes. >hint<http://www.jagwire.com.tw/js91xc.htm |
