Its not the right geometry and I wouldnt do it. My friend has one and its way off.

hahaha...racing no. Trail riding, sure. I know a few p2 riders for 'xc'. 4 to 6 hour rides, you just end up standing a bit more.

You COULD do it, but it will not be the most comfortable or efficient. Let's out it this way, it is no race bike, but you could do worse.

No, not racing of course. That’s what I meant, trail riding. Jut slap on a longer seat post and lower it when doing jumps or dh. I just wanted to know if anyone has done it. I don’t’ feel like buying a separate xc bike.

It will work fine. It isn't great but definately ok. And if you have to walk up who cares, it will be a fun bike going dh

I use mine for XC and technical trail stuff.
Its sort of heavy and will jiggle the fillings out your teeth on long down hills
but who cares The short, compact frame is what I wanted so Ive gotten used to it.
I have Revell tall bars and a Da Bomb Dirt jump fork coming on monday to
round out the torturesome nature of it
