aluminum differences

Hi,

Just wanting to get some advice on frame differences. I have about $300 to put down on a new bike and was looking at two bikes. A Trek 3700 (alpha aluminum) for $300 and a Trek 4500 (alpha SL - superlight - aluminum) for $375. When I pick them up they feel the same to me. Whats the difference and is it worth an extra $75 bucks? Thanks in advance for the advice.

I'm not sure of the technical differences, but I had the 3700 and my wife has the 4100. The 4100 had the superlight aluminum. It was just a little lighter. I'd go with the 4500 because the components and fork are worth it. That said, I loved my 3700, it got me excited about riding.
