Looking to get back on the trails again after a hiatus,
Strongly considering the Spec. Rockhopper Sport 29
Its approx $800 and that about close to my budget limit
any feedback?

Specialized has positioned the Rockhopper as their entry level 29er bike. It's a decent entry level bike. If you've looked at other brands, but like the Rockhopper go for it. If you haven't checked out other brands, you should. Not that they are any better, they probably aren't, but sometimes the design of another bike may be more comfortable or appeal to you more. My first new MTB was a Rockhopper. My son has it now, they last a long, long time.
