whatever happened to SNIPES frames?

Bout 10 years ago I bought a used Snipes 7mm enduro frame off ebay for about 125 bucks. I built a pretty cool MTB from it from the ground up. Times got tough and I sold it. That had to be the coolest frame ever. I mean that bike was a badass bike I thought. Just cause I miss that bike so much I frequently google search those frames and look on Ebay but you can hardly find any info on them. There is hardly any references to the fact they even existed. Just an occasional old pic or message on a board somewhere. I know I heard somewhere they went under in 04? But I am just surprised there isn't more of them bad boys floating around for sale. Did they not make very many or what?

I don't care what search terms you put with "Snipes" when you search all you seem to get is Wesley Snipes lol.
