Blur 05 frame with Talas fork
Do you know if the Blur frame 2005 model is designed to accommodate the Fox Talas fork (80-125 travel) or is better suited to the Fox RLT100?
|
santacruzmtb.com says that it can "accomodate up to a 105mm travel fork". Not that it couldn't take 125mm, but it would throw the geometry off. I'd go with the RLT100 unless you need the extra/less travel.

Got an email from SC saying warranty would be void if go with fork >105. On the other hand LBS (Australia, Sydney) has just confirmed they will honor warranty if having the extra length fork damages the frame (best get that in writing I think!!). Who would have thought size is everything?! Thanks for the feedback.

I dont know if this is correct, but somewhere i read that having more travel puts more stress on the headtube. Which may be one factor for voiding the warranty. I would just go with what its ment for
