Should I buy this bike?

I found a Raleigh M20 mountain bike which measures 15" with 26" tires on craigslist. The owner is only asking $35 for it, and says it's barely worn (still has small nubs on tires). Is this a good deal?

If the bike checks out, the shifters take it through all the gears, the brakes work and the chain is in good shape, Yes that's a very good price for that bike. If you're looking for a bike to take on rides through greenways and gravel rails to trails your good to go. If your looking for a bike to take on difficult single track, that's not the bike and never was. The M-20 is the bottom of the line for Raleigh bikes and that one has a rigid fork. That said, as older rigid fork bikes go, it's descent and certainly worth $35. I had one some time ago and sold it for $85. It's a small size frame so make sure it fits you. Also, the seat looks like it is mounted incorrectly. It's been moved forward way too far. My guess is the mounting unit is placed in the seat backwards causing the seat to be mounted way to far forward. I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like it's set correctly.

That bike is tiny. And the seatclamp is backwards, which makes it seem even tinier.

M-80 is as low as I'd go but that price is pretty nice.
