I've seen quite a few of the sid world cups at my races and they have the cf crown and the owners sang nothing but praises about it, except that it was a little flexy. As long as it's used as intended it should be all good. I think I'll look into something like that next year.

Eventually, when they get the nanotube threads long enough, carbon fiber meshes will be stronger than steel and WAAAAAY lighter.

"Some have predicted the demise of the SID line, but few can argue with the performance advantages gained by its superlight weight."
Nooooo!!! I love my SID team. Its so light, not even 3 pounds and holy crap does it climb well. Eventually if i have cash sitting around and my current fork finally dies (which i hope will not be long though i think it will last since i take good care of it). I will get the carbon fiber one just because

Why didn't they say anythng about SRAM's new freeride set SRAM Xplode. I mean c'mon 40% more brittle and @)% more internal internals, that's newsworthy.
Seriously that WC Reba looks the schizznit. If used correctly there are no problems with the carbon fibre crown and steerer, it's when someone tries to trail ride of freeride with it that it will become a problem. What you may even find is some people using them as a race only fork, such as they have some other fork for most riding but before a race they put the Reba WC on.
