Haro Zero Or Escape 8.1

Ha sorry about all the stupid Q's but i am a bmx'r tring to murge into the sport of mountian biking. I like dirt jumping alot and I rode my friends hartail and loved it anyway. I can't decide between a Haro Escape 8.1 or a Haro Zero. The Zero is sick but it doent have a front disc brake(or any brake at all) and its only a single speed does this matter?

I'm in the process of getting a Zero. As for as I can tell from talking to my LBS and looking at the Haro website, the Zero has a rear disc brake. Single speed doesn't matter for whatever you want to do, just got to have the strength to pedal it.
