I'm pretty excited about this bike, I wasn't really looking for another MTB but I couldn't pass this one up. It looks brand new for being 6 years old. I don't think the previous owner ever rode it.

^Yeah I don't get why you would buy a bike like this and not ride it. I do like the disc brakes compared to my old v-brakes on my 18 year old Giant ATX, man what a difference! Although the Grip-Shifters on my Giant from 97 still perform as well as the new Sram Grip-Shifters

and a soft tail too. Cool

What do those use as a shock in the back just simple spring?

Aren't they generally an elastomer? Some bikes have a tiny shock, but it's heavy and bobs like crazy.
