Great deal on a fork...but not much back history on it?

Hey gang-

I found a nice deal on a White Brothers fork, however the person I am buying it from says he bought it from another guy. I don't think this is much of an issue, however he says he never used it as he went with a Fox fork instead.

My biggest concern is that i buy this thing and it's blown or has a leak. Is there any way to check it without it being hooked up to a rig?

Thanks in advance!!!

What model, and just how great of a deal is it? It needs to be cheap enough to rebuild it if required. After you know the model, I would email or call MRP to make sure they still have parts for that fork.
