Advice Required 29er

Hi, I am looking to get a new 29er however given the amount of options out there I really am struggling to choose.

I have narrowed it down to 4 but could really use someone with mob experience to help me out.

The 4 options are:

Trek Marlin 6 - Privacy information ? Trek Bicycle

Diamond Back Ascent - Diamondback Ascent 29er bike - Bikes 2U Direct

Focus Whistler 3.0 - Whistler 29R 3.0 MTB Bike 2015

Scott Aspect 940 2015 - Scott Aspect 940 White / Black 2015

I have budgeted £500, I am open to other suggestions also.

Thanks for your help on this....

I had the Scott Aspect 940, rode it for two years in xc mode and real on single track.
The wet brakes were the selling point for me at that price level.

The suntour xcr or what ever label yours has is a light duty trail fork, a sticker says so on the fork leg.
If you start riding anything more than fire roads it will drive you crazy flexing and bottoming,
BUT my LBS showed me this: SR Suntour North America

So for $189 plus $30 for my LBS to cut and install I had the Raidon fork and It transformed the bike
That Raidon fork is a $350 fork anywhere else.
I'd choose only the Scott Or the Trek..

Both will get you there, they will do fine for a year or two. But You will lust for better soon...

Do yourself a favor and support your LOCAL BIKE SHOP, buy what they sell :XD

They are all pretty much the same so for me it would come down to which ones are 9 speeds and which have shimano brakes, great brakes even on the lowend. That means diamondback or the scott.

Cube Analog 29 black“n“grey | Hardtail 29" Shop

Below your budget! Has basic but reasonable components including Shimano hydraulic brakes. I think it's worth considering if they have your size.
