Marlin 6
Well i did not get a FAT BIKE but ended up with my 1st 29er!!Traded my bike and added a little money and I got this
BRAND NEW TREK MARLIN 6..here it is..What is the max tire width I can use on this bike??I picked it up and rode it home , 10 miles with a descent climb and gotta say I am thankful it has a triple and "granny gears"! I'm so used to climbing that route with my road bike, riding this thing was a work out!! http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...pseazz8uqt.jpg http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps3mrwb67z.jpg |

Nice bike! My brother-in-law's Marlin does not have a huge amount of rear tire clearance. He has a Geax AKA 29x2.0 on there, which is a high volume tire, and there's not a great deal of room to spare. I'm not sure if the AKA 29x2.2 would fit.

Here it is with my road bike.. http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...pswvetu211.jpg |

Suntour offers a fork upgrade program, where you can get a air fork (Raidon, I think) for about $200. Get that and convert your existing wheels to tubeless, and you'll have a solid setup for about $250 in parts. |
