New Bike Today

I live near Tiger Mountain in Washington, which offers 8-12 miles of downhill after a 4 mile uphill. So, I got one of these....

I am beyond excited to get to the top of the mountain tomorrow morning.

If you are ever in the area, this and Duthie Park are great rides.

Congrats! The 8-12 miles of DH sounds fun, but the 4 miles uphill is going to be a little arduous.

The uphill was tough. Me pushing fifty and the bike weighing mid thirties made for a workout. But, the ride was great!!! I was the only guy with a DH bike that I saw that day. My AM bike has a Pike fork and Fox Float shock, and the difference was still beyond my imagination. My new bike is the first DH bike I have ridden, even if it is DH light. At first my lines were as though I was on my AM bike, but I soon learned that I could just go at virtually anything I wanted. The Boxxer forks, Ohlin's shock and Guide DH brakes are stellar. I am extremely happy with my new bike, but still a bit sore. Luckily my one crash was on the softest dirt I have ever hit, so I just laid there for a needed rest....
